The Biotechnology and Biomanufacturing seed grant program aimed to boost research in key areas and enhance competitiveness for external funding, targeting a five-fold return on investment. Priority was given to proposals featuring collaborations with Minnesota-based entities and workforce development initiatives. We sought innovative, collaborative projects with high potential for securing future extramural funding. Applicants had to clearly outline how their proposed work aligned with these strategic goals. Interdepartmental team projects were strongly encouraged.
